Salem Diabetes Foundation was founded by Dr. G Prakash MD, (Gen. Med.), D. Diab., Senior Consultant Diabetologist, Salem on November 14th, 2007 at 2nd Agraharam Salem. The Foundation was shifted from 2nd Agraharam to Tamil Sangam Road, Sankar Nagar, Salem -636007 on November 14th, 2014.

Every year, on November 14th world diabetes day is conducted with the Patient Awareness Program and Continuing Medical Education Program for Medical and Paramedical persons.

Dr.G.PRAKASH M.D., D.Diab., has participated in many  International and National Conferences as a Speaker and Moderator.
